A dream coming true
After the long and necessary preparations (getting and treating the wood, preparing the terrain), we were eager to start constructing our dream station. Although we used many local materials, many others had to be transported to the site...
Besides soils and topography analyses and preparing the terrain for the construction, the most difficult task was to find the wood for the station. We used fallen or dead trees from the surrounding grasslands and forests that were cut and extracted trying to minimize the impact of the process.
After 45 days of intense work, networking and constant communication, our fund-raising campaign was finally over.
We received donations from 86 supporters from all over the world summing USD 4.345, including 17 White-footed tamarin, 27 Magdalena river turtle and 30 Carpenter ant donors
