In 2005, we established Fundación Biodiversa Colombia, a non-profit organization in Colombia. Since then, Fundación Biodiversa Colombia has been promoting and developing research and conservation in the biological, social, and cultural fields, as well as in other areas of knowledge that contribute to the preservation of Colombia’s biological and cultural heritage, seeking alternatives for sustainable development.

In 2020, we also created Fundación Biodiversa, a non-profit organization in the United States. Fundación Biodiversa is a sister foundation to Fundación Biodiversa Colombia and aims to create a platform in the U.S. to share and exchange resources there, providing an opportunity for people in the U.S. to get involved in our projects and offer support.

Our mission

Our mission is the conservation of Colombia’s natural and cultural heritage through scientific research with social involvement and through sustainable productive projects that contribute to conservation, social development, and the self-sustainability of local communities.
